Dear Nassem, I would like to thank you for your contribution with your comments, and also invite all muslims to our open forum, and un-moderated comments section to express freely their opinions. We are here to learn, and reach for the truth about islam. No one is better placed than muslims to teach us and answer our questions. Even when muslims don't answer our questions, it proves to be the best answer that confirms the facts we expose..
As for stating that you're not a Christian, you don't need to say it. Your language and your state of mind exposes you. I mean your Islamic mind, which is apart from the normal human mind. It’s not me saying this, but your “most honorable” prophet, stating that muslim women are “deficient in religion and brain,” and the Koran puts your value at half a man. And I take it for granted that you agree. Otherwise you won’t be a “muslima to boot.”
Actually, your prophet also compared you with dogs and donkeys, and allowed your husband to beat you, So definitely, with all these attributes, you can’t fool anyone and pass for a Christian.
Christianity elevates every person, men and women. The God of the Bible said, "He created man on His own image, and created Eve to be “A helper comparable to him. Genesis 1:18.”
You see, God said “Comparable,” not half, but comparable to the man, not to dogs and donkeys that should be beaten. And how would you qualify this saying of your prophet, " The woman advances and retires in the shape of a devil. From Sahih Muslim, the book of Nikah (intercourse), book 8 #3240,” in the pride of place, or proper respect section?
That should answer your “Christianity is male dominated.”
Do you know that your allah forgot completely to mention Hawa (Eve), that's not very considerate for the muslim women, don't you agree? Can you imagine yourself not knowing who your mother is, or what's her name? Some people use a very bad word for that. And Can you tell us how you came up with the name of Hawa (Eve), since there is no trace for it in the koran?
And do you think it's nice from your prophet to say that, “the majority of people in hell, are women.” Do you agree with him? And how would you know if you're in the minority? You don't even speak arabic, the language of Jannah (islamic papradise) to start with, that's already a minus. Why allah would choose you and have a communication problem? Isn't it odd that allah made arabic the official language for a religion he wanted it to be international, to end up in a Jannah of sex and booze, where no one will have time for talk ... heheheheee .. And who you gone talk to, do you think your father, your husband, or any men in your family that wakes up at 4 A.M. to go to the mosque, struggle every day with the five prayers, fast ramadan, and spend their life saving to go to the Hajj, are doing all this to leave 72 virgins and talk or care about you in jannah? Your complaining about the place of femininity in Christianity, when islam gave you a 1/4 man on Earth, not counting the unlimited right hand possessions your husband is allowed to have, and 1/73 up there, that's if you make it and sneak in with the minority. If that's what you call pride, then you know something that we don't know, and we respect your freedom of expression.
But to be a Christian, you'll need a deep brain clean up first, starting by throwing the book that treats you like an animal to be beaten, your Koran, where it belongs, in the garbage, and be completely cured. There are better books now to teach animals how to behave without beatings, that will make many muslim women dream of a better life. You can verify that at animals clinic sites, or convert to Brigitte Bardot's (Peace be upon her) animals society.
Besides, who asked you here to be a Christian? We’re here to talk about the religion of truth. However, you, same as every muslim, do all you can to stir away the conversation from islam for reasons we perfectly understand. After all, who would want to talk about a plague, and what can they say? Unless for once you prove me wrong and enlighten us with the goodies that we might have missed, or we didn’t grasp. You also have the opportunity here to correct our misunderstanding if we said something wrong, or “out of context,” and guide us to, “The right path.”
But you never amazed us by refuting anything we posted here; you only used what became the trademark of every muslim, the weapon of mass distraction, Christianity. Not realizing that by doing this, you betray yourself by believing in something that you can’t defend, and unintentionally, confirm that there is nothing to refute in everything we posted.
So I’ll tell you what I tell every muslim, if Christianity is wrong, why waste your time talking about it, instead of guiding people to the religion of truth? And talking about corrupted religions won't make islam right and clean by default, and won’t change the fact that your “most honorable” prophet is a pedophile, a caravan robber, a rapist, a killer, and a gangster making his bread and butter with his sword. For your statement, “there’s lot of good muslims in the world," I applaud your choice of “good” muslims, and not “true” muslims. But have you any idea what's costing the Western tax payers, to finance round the clock the monitoring of mosques, and Islamic communities by all their law enforcement agencies just to keep those “good” muslims from becoming “true” muslims, emulating your role model muhammaf?
And how many “good” muslims will be left if your Islamic authorities abrogate the apostasy law and differentiate islam from the Mafia? In my opinion, the Islamic authorities should seek inter-faith dialogue with the Mafia; they too apply the apostasy law and share many common values with islam.
As for “the teaching of turning the other cheek,” Imagine if the Bible had something like this, "Kill all who do not believe in Moses and Jesus," do you think any muslim would've been left on the face of the Earth by now? Let me put it to you in a different way. If a dog bite you, and you bite him back, if a thug slap you and you slap him back, if a robber rob your house and you go to rob his house, etc, etc. Where would it end? And where is the superior teaching in this, and what new teaching mohammad came up with? That's the law of jungle, and animals didn’t need a prophet to teach them that.

By saying this, you, from your own mouth, condemned mohammad and your koran, and expressed in the most explicit way, what we always say, that mohammad's teaching and your koran have nothing superior to any base human teaching, or gang teaching.
As the French say, "The most beautiful woman can't give more than what she has." So what teaching can you expect from a gangster, not only, making his bread and butter by robbing innocent people with his sword, but making a religion out of it, that you call it great, praise him every time you mention his infamous name, and strive to emulate him to finish the job. Which is to continue robbing and extorting the world, and that's what your koran is all about, to compensate for your own self inflicted misery and destitution.
No muslim country can advance, motivate people to work and make them focus to produce, if they blast them five times a day, starting at four in the morning with sounds from thousands of loudspeakers, piercing their brains with a deafening and interminable "Allah Akbar (allah the greatest), Hayo Ala'l Jiahd (Get ready and let's go for the jihad). Add to this their supplications, which they call prayers, seventeen times a day, to curse and damn the unclean kafers Christians and Jews, combined with their imams vociferations to "make their children orphelins, make their property and their women booty for the muslims (since allah is the same God of the Bible, so they say, that's why raping Jewish and Christian women is halal) ...," and you can imagine what is left, not only in their brains, but their whole beings, after these promises of robbed riches and dreams of rape orgies, to think about any work or the need to produce anything at all.
By the same token, you proved, again unintentionally of course, that the Bible teaching is not only superior to human morality which confirms its divine nature, but aims to elevates the person above his base instincts, to perfection. While islam makes muslims act no different than, animal rage boys.
That's why; the Western world, regulated by laws inspired from that teaching, created the most advanced civilization in the world, "The Judeo-Christian Civilization," that is superior, productive, guaranteeing civil order, and without it, you muslims would’ve been exterminated by hunger and disease in a matter of few years. Just imagine Nasseem, if the Western world treated you eye for an eye according to your standard, and your islamic Ummah don’t get, as charitable donations, all the medicines, just to name one item, discovered by those Jews and Christians. Could you survive on camel's urine and fly wings, as mohammad advised you? I won't ask you to answer that, I know it would be mission impossible. It's just meant to be food for thoughts, if you ever have the luxury of any thoughts to feed, and meditate on.
You also exposed, without realizing, the lies of your Koran, which stated that mohammad came, “To Perfect the morality of people.” To perfect, means to complete shortcomings, to accomplish something that was not finished, and bring it to complete perfection.
From the evidence we have, we can attest that the only thing mohammad perfected, is making perfect fools of all the people that are still being fooled by him, and I credit him for that perfect accomplishment. Let’s compare what existed before Muhammad.
Jesus said “love your enemies, bless those who curse you, do good to those who hate you, and pray for those who spitefully use you and persecute you. For if you love those who love you, what reward have you? Therefore you shall be perfect, just as your father in heaven is perfect? Matthew 5:44, 46, 48.”
Now, can you tell us what Muhammad added, and perfected above this level, or what there is to perfect beyond that?
I will help you and answer this question, from muhammad’s blueprint:
Koran 16:126, “If ye punish, then punish with the like of that wherewith ye were afflicted.”
It is obvious, as you stated, that Muhammad and allah didn’t come up with anything new, other than what has been practiced throughout history but not anymore by the civilized world. You should be proud that Muhammad and allah’s morality reached your level.
In other words, mohammad took you backward, and you don’t need him for this, just watch jungle movies or rage boy, and go by your instinct, and you’ll be a model muslima.
But here is a hard question for you that, again, I doubt you can answer, for it will simply destroy Muhammad and his koran’s teaching by your own verdict:

As you know, this happened in Pakistan, your own country, and you surely saw the local and international outrage it caused, and the Office of the Public Prosecutor instituted criminal proceedings against the executors of this vendetta. The international outrage is understandable, but why in Pakistan they condemned what they called, "tribal code of honor, which includes the notion of vendetta and tit for tat punishment?" What is koran 16:126 is, if not "tit for tat punishment?"

I meant to make this rape question personal to you instead of making it generic, to have your truthful answer when you fall under allah's law. Of course, you have the options to call an imam, ask your islamic audience, or use verse 3:28 from the "very" holy koran, that tells you to fool these idiots, "childish," kafers.
The knock out
The prophet that you (muslims) say, “came to perfect the morality of people," didn’t even reach the standard of your own morality, or even respect what he himself said, “punish them as they did to you,” but went well below that, and didn’t have neither moral, nor standard.
There is numerous quotations from the sayings of muhamad and his Koran to prove it, but I’ll mention just one for now, not to give you an indigestion. In islamic countries they make you read your islamic texts and recite them, but never ask you to understand them.
Let's get back to Koran 16:126, “punish them same as they did to you.” It implies that no punishment is due to someone that didn’t attack you, and you shouldn't punish someone for the actions of someone else, you agree? I guess you do, if not let me know. But you'll have to agree, because I took this answer from your own Koran 6:164:
“Every soul draws the meed (wage) of its acts on none but itself: no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another.”
In tafsir (interpretation) El Tabari, it explains practically the same think, that allah will judge everyone according to
his own acts and deeds, and won’t put on him, or hold him accountable for the sins of others. Sounds fair to
me, which is the basis of all civilized laws, and even ordinary human wisdom with a sense of justice. Anyone
disagree on that? Just a side note for all muslims, in case you don’t know, muhammad plagiarized this from
Moses law (The Torah), so he didn’t invent the wheel to get it right.
The incriminating evidence
Sahih Muslim, Book 037, Number 6668:
Abu Burda reported Allah's Messenger (May peace be upon him) as saying: There would come people amongst the Muslims on the Day of Resurrection with as heavy sins as a mountain, and Allah would forgive them and He would place in their stead the Jews and the Christians.
This is what we call, parading muhammad the thug, and the allah he made on his own image, nude, topless and bottomless, out in the cold. Actually, we're not the ones doing it, we just put the islamic texts under the microscope, and let them do the job.
This hadith is simply stating that your allah will open his den, and gather to him all muslim criminals, "with sins heavy as mountains,” not to judge them for their sins, but to cheat justice, and put their sins and deeds on Jews and Christians.

First your allah perjured himself according to his own Koran 6:164, and 16:24, ” no bearer of burdens can bear the burden of another,” and he swore in different quotations that the Koran is the book of truth, that he himself guarded from corruption.
The definition of perjury:
-The act or crime of knowingly making a false statement while under oath or bound by an affirmation or other officially prescribed declaration that what one says, writes, or claims is true.
-Deliberately giving false testimony
-Criminal offense of making false statements under oath
-The willful giving of false testimony under oath or affirmation.
Under the penal code of any civil law, muhammad and his accomplice, allah, would be convicted with several crimes: acquitting criminals, and putting their crimes on other people. This is a very serious case of perjury, incriminating innocent people, falsification of evidence, false accusations, and misleading justice. It's the biggest masquerade of justice.

Imagine any legal system, even in the banana countries, having a judge like this? He would’ve been buried under an anonymous banana tree by now. Too bad they don't have banana trees in Arabia.

I hope Nassim that now you’re convinced that what you call, your “very” holy book, have nothing holy. Again, It’s not me saying this; it’s your allah’s own admission in Koran 4:82:
“Do they not consider the Qur-an. Had it been from other than Allah, they would surely have found therein much discrepancy."

Critics want "bizarre ritual" to be banned
If they stop all the bizarre rituals, there won't be much left. Bizarre is synonymous to islam, and what islam is, but a bizarre religion?

Then they go to a mountain for a delish ceremonial, so everyone can take seven free shots at the devil with pebbles, and the devil is still there year after year and healthier than ever. Not to mention that all men and women, have to be almost nude, squeezing, rubbing, and entering into each others to perform these rituals. Worth mentioning, as I was told by ex-muslims, that many men and women go there mainly for the rubbing, if not for outright prostitution.
With all this paganistic circus, they dare to call whoever that doesn't make a fool of himself by imitating them, a pagan, kafir, and unbeliever. There is many other things that I won't mention now, but I have a very simple Question to muslims: whouldn't it be easier to tell us what isn't bizarre in your cult?

Shari’a law encompasses every facet of one’s life, and those who seek to impose it upon Muslims – and the world – look to regulate everything from aspects of religious and social customs to political and military responsibilities. Shari’a law is, in fact, the law in countries like

Make no mistake. So-called “Sharia-compliant financing” is neither about religion nor about God. It is about Islamist control and collectivization of Muslims against “the West” and free markets. Transnational Islamist movements of Muslim theocrats seek SCF systems as nothing more than a ruse. Islamist theocrats exploit Western deference to religious freedom in order to lay the foundations of economic systems which feign religion in order to strangulate the economic freedoms of Muslims and non-Muslims alike.
Governments and banks who facilitate SCF become complicit in the protection of theocrats who seek to control economics rather than stimulate the economic freedom of Muslims. This is the difference between theocracy and liberty. Instead of lay citizens controlling their own economic transactions, “the invisible hand” becomes the hand of the Islamist cleric. For many pious Muslims, any cleric determining what is and what is not “Shariah compliant” defies the entire basis of religious freedom and economic freedom alike. To many pious Muslims, only God can determine what is and what is not truly “Shariah compliant.” Individual Muslims are free to choose how to live their lives in a personally “Shariah compliant” manner as long as our nation provides the milieu for free markets and infinite economic choices.
SCF is not about choices. It’s about control and diversion. For the West to succumb to the infiltration of SCF is to abandon so many Muslims who escaped the Middle East in order to be free to self-determine what is and what is not SCF in our own private daily practice while countering the theocratic influence of Islamists. SCF schemes are less about Muslims than they are about Islamists and their need to control Muslim populations and their monies.

Italy views Muslim immigrants as harmful: study

As a new centre-right government that has vowed to be tougher on immigration prepares to take office, a new study on Tuesday showed that most Italians have negative views about having immigrants from Muslim countries.
According to the study carried out by the Makno research organization, and commissioned by the interior ministry, 55.3 percent of those asked said immigration from Islamic countries was more problematic than that from other, Christian, countries.
Only 39.7 percent said Muslims should be allowed to practice their religion and build mosques unconditionally.
Nearly 10 percent were firmly against allowing Muslim religious practices or mosques and the rest posed various conditions, such as reciprocity for Christians in Islamic countries to practice their religion.
On the Islamic side, nearly 40 percent of Muslim immigrants said they found it difficult to respect their religious traditions in Italy while 30.2 percent feared they would lose their culture.
Italy, a predominantly Catholic country which once sent millions of immigrants to the world, is still grappling with how it should integrate immigrants of different cultures, languages and religions.
More than 17 percent in survey feared terrorist attacks, nearly 25 percent said they believed Muslims were critical of Italians and their culture and 28.2 percent said Muslims were intolerant of Catholicism.
Various parties in the coalition of prime minister-elect Silvio Berlusconi, who is expected to form his government by next week, have vowed to crack down on immigrants.
Umberto Bossi, the firebrand leader of the anti-immigrant Northern League, took a surprising 8 percent in this month's national elections and is expected to get several cabinet posts, perhaps including the interior ministry.
One League member, Roberto Calderoli, outraged Muslims with past antics such as wearing a T-shirt emblazoned with Danish cartoons showing the Prophet Mohammad.

According to official figures, there are more than a million Muslim immigrants in Italy but aid groups say the figure is higher.
The attitude of non-Islamic immigrants in Italy, most of them Christians, was just as critical towards Muslims or in some cases even more so than that of Italians.

Bread troubles

Bread lines made the news of late when clashes among anxious consumers led to casualties. The government considered the matter at its highest echelons, taking unprecedented action. The army and police were sent onto the scene, keeping order and helping with practical matters. About 62,000 bread traders were threatened with trial. Ten major flour racketeers were detained. The whole thing was humiliating and hurtful, to say the least.
Bread, if you ask me, is not the problem. But it is a sign of something more worrisome. Some people offer the simplistic view that it is all the fault of the Nazif government. That may well be so, at least to some extent. But let me ask you, what if we change the entire cabinet, will things improve?
My short answer is no. The problem is too deep to be resolved by an infusion of new blood. We need to address matters in a more radical way. We need to change the policies and ideas we have. We need to change the horizontal and vertical relations within the government as well as between the government and the ruling party.
The bread problem is not the only trouble we're having. Our healthcare is in shambles. Our education has lost touch with reality. Our court system is too ponderous to provide timely justice. Our streets are clogged and our sidewalks have been taken over by peddlers.
The whole scene is one of chaos, and the government seems absent, disinterested, unable to bring reason back into our lives. People are left alone to deal with their own problems, and as troubles mount they reach the point where their only recourse is to stage strikes, sit-ins, and other forms of industrial action.
Our officials must show more concern for the needs of the public: not by words, not by telling us they have allocated billions in the budget, but by setting the nation's priorities straight. The writing is on the wall and we can no longer turn our eyes away.
Strategically speaking, no one knows where this country is heading. The government is proceeding without a pact with its own people. We have plans of action, but these are not enough. What we need is for our rulers to set a vision for the future, rally the nation around it, and have everyone working in the same direction. We need to have aspirations that are relevant to all, not just to the few.
So far, the government hasn't appeared in control. The government says that the economy is free and that intervention is undesirable. "Let the future be set by the forces of supply and demand", our top planners say. This is wrong. We cannot let our citizens be crushed under the weight of greedy traders, insidious monopolies, and rampant corruption. We cannot stand on the sidelines while hoarders and speculators push up the prices of essential goods. At some point, the government has to intervene.
How much intervention is best? I would go for moderate action. In all respect for freedom, there must be a point where the government arbitrate the outcome. Should we anticipate problems before they happen and do something about them? I would say yes, better to be prudent than sorry. See what needs to be done and act accordingly. Is there a need to stop exports for a while? Is there a need to tax exports? Is there a need to break monopolies? Do we need to give producers certain incentives to ensure ampler supply? All these are things for planners to ponder.
We must keep in mind that market forces are good up to a certain point. Beyond that point, someone has to step in and make sure that the game is fair. The government needs to act as an arbitrator between consumers and producers. If it fails to do so it would deserve the blame it would eventually get. It is the government's job to keep business honest. The government has a responsibility towards the people. Businessmen do too, but they often forget it.
It is sad when the government is taken by surprise in such a simple matter as bread. It is sad when a nation wakes up to discover that it has nothing to eat. It is sad to have to send the army into the streets to regulate the market. A good government doesn't let such things happen.
The government has a sovereign role to play. In countries with limited means such as ours, we expect the government to think ahead, keep racketeers at bay, and show concern for the ordinary people. A clever government would start taking more care of the countryside. Not long ago our villages supplied the cities with bread, poultry and meat. We were a land of plenty, and we can be once more.

German Charity Helps Turkish Women Escape Forced Marriages

The German charity Hatun and Can, set up in memory of "honor killing" victim Hatun Sürücü, helps Turkish women who are in danger of becoming victims of violence. Two women who fled forced marriages tell their stories.
Aylin (not her real name) had just turned 15 when her parents decided she should get married. She had finished her secondary school education and was studying nursing at a vocational school. Of course, she was still living with her parents, in a small town in the German state of Hesse.
A potential husband was soon found, M. from Frankfurt. He had studied business administration and was 13 years older than Aylin. “My parents met him at a relative’s wedding,” she recalls.
Aylin’s parents, who were both born in Turkey in 1954 but grew up in Germany, never bothered to ask if their daughter agreed with their choice. “I was engaged,” she says. “Or rather, I was sold.”
The fiancé’s parents paid Aylin’s parents €17,000 ($26,750) in cash and additionally gave them jewelry worth around €20,000. “Then we all went shopping in Turkey -- his mother, my mother, him and me.” She needed a wedding dress, he a dark suit.
Four hundred guests came to the engagement celebration at Aylin’s parents’ house. Shortly beforehand, Aylin and her fiancé had come into closer contact for the first time. “He hit me in the face when I told him I didn’t like him,” she says. Nevertheless, the engagement proceeded as planned. “Then life in hell began.”
M. came to visit every other day. “He had paid for me, he could do whatever he wanted," Aylin recalls. "He could have killed me and my parents wouldn’t have done anything.” It even went as far as “forced intimacy” in the house. Aylin's parents pretended not to notice.
Meanwhile, Aylin had finished her vocational school program and was working as an assistant in a nursing home. It was the only place she was allowed to go unaccompanied. When she came home after work, her parents and often her fiancé were waiting for her. “It was horrible,” she says.
She stopped eating and had to be admitted to a clinic because of “mental disorders.” “That was nice, my parents weren’t allowed to visit me.” The clinic released Aylin after three months and she moved back in with her parents. A week before the wedding date, Aylin asked her fiancé to give her some money so she could go shopping. Then she went to the train station and caught a train to Berlin.
She knew no one in the city, but had heard of an organization called Papatya (the name translates as "chamomile") that helped runaway Turkish girls. She lived for two months in a safe house with other young women, who had all “gone through the same story.” But one day she needed to visit a doctor. There, she had to show her family health insurance card -- and it didn’t take long before her parents found out where their daughter was staying. “I had to go back.”
The only advantage to the situation was that Aylin’s fiancé called off the engagement and claimed back the “purchase price” he had paid.
But because Aylin had brought “dishonor” to the family, her parents had to find some way -- or someone -- to minimize the resulting moral and material damages. The new fiancé was 42 years old and still married, but he was wealthy and lived far away in Anatolia.
So that nothing could go wrong, Aylin’s mother accompanied her daughter to Turkey. “This time there was just a small ceremony," Aylin recalls. "He’d been married. I’d been engaged -- and was therefore second best.” The deal paid off for Aylin’s parents: they got a house and two cows from their daughter’s fiancé.
“I was supposed to stay in Turkey, while my parents received child benefits for me in Germany.” In order not to lose her residency permit, Aylin needed to return to Germany within half a year at the latest, even if only for a few days. “Many people do it that way, so they don’t lose their social benefits.”
When Aylin arrived home, she was confined in the house by her parents, but they let her keep her cell phone. “I called the police from the bathroom. They got me out and took me to the airport.”
In November 2007, she arrived in Berlin again and lived for a while in a women’s shelter run by the aid organization Caritas. Later she found a small apartment for herself with help from an organization called Hatun und Can.
Since early 2008, she has been working at an event-planning and advertising agency. She works out regularly at a gym, has applied for her own health insurance and German citizenship -- and she wants to get a German name along with it. “I’m an example of successful integration,” she says.
There’s just one thing she doesn’t have: contact with her parents. “I don’t see them as my parents," she says. "They just created me, nothing else. If it had been up to them, I’d be completely anti-social now.”
As well as speaking perfect Turkish, Aylin also speaks fluent and accent-free German, which has made getting out of her previous life considerably easier. Of course, the social milieu she comes from can also be found in Berlin. When Aylin goes to a disco, men hit on her straight away, saying: “Hey, what are you doing here alone as a woman?” She replies in kind: “What are you doing here alone as a man?” End of conversation.
“Muslim men don’t respect women," she says. "They can’t handle it when a woman stands on her own two feet.”
"You’re Going to Marry Him, Whether You Want to or not"
Muslim men's attitudes to women is the reason why Yasmina (name changed) has a Polish boyfriend. He, too, is occasionally “a little macho man,” she says. Nonetheless, he is still "different from a Turk.”
Born in the Turkish city of Izmir in 1986, Yasmina came to Bremen with her parents at the age of two. Her mother was a housewife and her father a small businessman who soon opened a fruit and vegetable shop.
Yasmina finished her secondary school education and would have liked to continue and study for the university entrance exam, but her parents didn’t approve; they had long before promised their daughter to a cousin in the south-western German city of Freiburg.
When the "engaged" couple met for the first time, she was 19 and he 27. “I found this man disgusting, he was big and fat," she recalls. "My father said: 'You’re going to marry him, whether you want to or not.'”
The official engagement took place in Bremen in 2006. “I couldn’t even talk to him without someone else being there.” Yasmina continued to live with her parents in Bremen. She wasn’t allowed out of the house alone and she had no money of her own, not even a cell phone.
One day in September 2007 she had finally had enough. She snuck out of the house at daybreak and hitchhiked to the northern city of Kiel. When she realized she had relatives in the city who might see her on the street and recognize her, she headed further north to Flensburg, where she stayed in a women’s shelter. Through a coincidence, one of her brothers found her and took her back to Bremen.
She tried again early in 2008. This time she made it to Berlin, where she lives in a small apartment together with her boyfriend Pawel, whom she met in Flensburg. Yasmina too is receiving help from the organization Hatun and Can, and she is training to be a beautician.
She no longer wants to have anything to do with her parents. “They kept hitting me ever since I was six years old. To this day I don’t know why.” She has three brothers and seven sisters, who all do what their parents expect of them. “You are brought up in a way to make sure you stay dependent,” she says. “I’m the black sheep of the family.”
Yasmina has no contact to other Turks. Asked if she could imagine marrying a Turkish man, she throws her arms in the air. “Anything but that!”
